I've caught only about 4 or 5 chubs this size Leo .They fight good!

David,I found three more of that size Countdown Raps in my arsenal (as Leo ,the 3rd Musketeer would put it ) .A Blue Back silver , A Black Back Silver and one in this Black Back Gold . Still hate to lose these .The ones I have are classic Finland models.

I think it bopped him on the head and he got pissed ha ha. Seriously I always wonder what motivates fish behavior .A big part of the thrill of fishing is not seeing but sensing .Very mysterious!

It is an odd fish on a hard bait like that Rapala.
Do you ever wonder what motivates this kind of behavior?

Yes Dave ,I think they are still made in Ireland now .Luck of the Irish! At least I have several post Finland ,Ireland made raps . Never expected a Chub ,thought a Pickerel or Bass would take this lure.
