Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Twelve inches of rain flooded our ponds and pushed big gills tight to the banks. Live nightcrawlers did the trick.

You are right...that is way too hot! We have had 18 inches of rain the past 2 weeks with Irene and Lee. Today was the first day in the past 2 weeks where it did not rain.

Yes, I am glad for the sun to come out. Th gills were very close to the original shoreline and flooded grasses, only 3 to 6 feet from shore.

Nice fish Jim, you can see the water has pushed up and swallowed some green grass in this photo as well. I'm sure you were glad to see the rains depart!
