hey keith -been there didn't have a chance to fish the spillway but drove across that bridge several times.fishing down there crossed my mind every time i drove past.one of the cooler places i have fished

You would probably flip at the tail-race I fish.  300 yards bank-to-bank.  Folks use homemade "dam-boats" to reach the inaccessibly areas.

125 to 150 yards estimated. 100 yards downstream it narrows and calms down. You can fish on the upstream side too.

Sounds like the tail-race I fish.  Just need some Blue Catfish.....

How far from bank-to-bank?  100 yards?  Easy casting with my surf rods.

You can fish from either side. But you can't tell what you might catch Asian carp,drum,buffalo,flathead cat,channel cat,crappie,bass,bluegill,you name it. Gar & bowfin too.

Can you fish from the bank there?  What kinds of fish are swimming in the river?  Looks like a great spot!
