That's one Gorgeous Longear!  I'm amazed at how many different color varieties they come in according to what waterways, or geographical location they come from.  Here's one I caught up here in Southern Ontario.

thanks everybody. they are serious feeders! once i learn what #@%&ing fly they eat i should be in for some real serious fun. i live a long way from this creek and i unfortunately can't visit it until june due to school. i can't wait though

Wow what a nice specimen Jacob. You hit my soft spot when it comes to the beauty of this guy what an excellent pix of pure beauty. Great job he may not be a lunker at this time but look at the those colors.

As usual the Males show off the bright colrs .Fish are just like birds except they swim.

I think the males are the bright colored ones and the females are pretty drab.
