...garden pond out back has a glazing of ice about 1/2" thick... yeah with El Nino on the way they are predicting a warm winter...

At the rate we are going there will be safe ice before end of month. Already my local small flowage is iced over.

… yeah ... and ill bet you didnt see another boat fishing! once it starts dipping in the upper 30's i wear the ice gear... transition to safe ice is usually late DEC early January ... and good luck to you..

Pretty but I don't like it once it impacts day to day life..........it felt like winter down East North Carolina this morning as I got on plane with a 29 degree air reading............first stop right at nine miles so exposed skin was crying by the time we reached our destination............good luck this winter Slip........
