Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Fished in the NWcove with the Berkeley Series Dough Rod .Fixed float from 4-5 feet .Plenty of fish but small Gills .The 6" Gills feel good on that rod as did the White Perch . No Crappie , just W and Y Perch and Gills on Baby Nightcrawlers .A few Yellow Perch on the Chartreuse Tabbert Jesse Jig tipped with a Chartreuse Exude Mr. Twister tail . A few follow ups on slow swimming jig and many pulls ( not really hits) The NE wind was cold so the worms /popping the float did the trick .Nothing later at the south end dam except one small Perch and a Crayfish .

Haven't seen one of those in awhile. I see some orange on the body. It kinda neat how they go through there color changes from the olives to the browns and to oranges. They are one of the main staples of a fishes diet.
