BTW ,that Valens 45 has a great tune for a B side .Stoller /Leiber's, 'FRAMED' ! Today I strung up the 12 string with the new light gauge strings the guy gave me to use . Of course 3 cheap old pins broke getting them out so I replaced them .Also, one string broke (might be a burr on the pin slot or saddle ) so I replaced the 'High 'G' ,.008 trouble/treble maker with a .010 which held nicely . Cleaned up the neck with lemon oil and polished the body .The guitar held it's 1/2 step lower tuning nicely and the good man is happy .I scoffed 4 more 50's ,45 rpm records for the replacement pins and the neck and body cleaning . Then I got a tour of his house with his guitar accumulations. He doesn't have anything major in his collection but he has fun .

He even supplied the guitar strings Tooty ,I'm just gonna put the strings on ,and tune it up after I wipe off decades of dirt and crud on the guitar neck , with lemon oil. The guy bought this 70's/80's 12 string Guitar for 35 bucks .I hope it plays nice for him .It's a cheap 'CORT' brand but 35 bucks sounds like a real good deal!
