Don't know about a carp killer but I made it for gill and I know the smallies will like it to. There between 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 inches long. I know all fish eat Crawdads it a staple food for them.

Thank Tooty I'm still hanging in there. Got gray and brown after I'm done with the orange. Have to find me some gray pheasant tails yet so it will probably be the last color I do.

Thanks Carl and I hope so cause its driving me nuts. I find when I tie it seems like I always leave something out especially a fly like this where you have to tie a lot in a confining space than after you forget it you have to figure out how to reincorporate it back into the fly somehow. Carl this getting old ain't all it's cracked up to be. 1st my site now my mind but I'll still keep moving on cause it's still fun.
