Thanks Tooty we all here try to thrive towards durability I hate buying something and its junk and there is lots of junk out there especially if it says China on it.
DICK YOU'VE COME A LONG WAY BUDDY IN THE PAST YEAR OR SO !!! IT truly amazes me the improvements on an already outstanding bait ......YUP durability has always been a goal of mine too Dick and if Sir Jeffrey says they are durable , then that's the way it is .....Congrats buddy on a great bait !!!!!
It's hard to believe you might have improved on a very productive bait Dick.....In addition to all the details Dick describes, I believe the checkered legs imitate a cluster of grass shrimp thus popping the jig is very life like to the real movements of these shrimp which count on their "warp" ability to escape impending doom when out in the open.......it's been a pleasure to fish these baits and quite frankly the original has out fished a many of commercial baits that I have tried over the years.......
McScruff regardless if I tied for a living the Jelly wouldn't be the jig of choice. To much time to make a jig it wouldn't be cost effective if I were in it to make a living but then again I'm not fast anyway as you know we tie for the enjoyment part. I sent some to Jeffrey and a couple others to try out and my biggest thing is will they hold up after catching a few fish. Jeffrey seems to be happy with the way they held up so that makes me feel good about the Jellyfish jig. I know I work hard on the quality aspect nothing worse than using a bait and after a fish or two it falls apart.
McScruff you know it's been awhile and I was biting at the bit to start tying again. The only change on gen 3 was I turned the gill around so it sticks outward and closer to the head. I think it will have more action like that. I need to stop changing it cause as it is it already takes to long to make.
Thanks Ken nice to get back behind the bench.
