Do you love big bluegill?
Finally cashed in my gift card Christmas present from my son at BassPro Shops. Got another Pflueger President 6920 (World's best Bluegill reels!), filled with 2 lb izorline. Have heard good things about this line. We'll see soon!

Vince- You don't really need a bail to flip over when you cast. Just put the line on your fingertip as usual and cast. Then after your lure/bait hits the water, just finger the line under the roller guide and you are ready to wind in. Just keep the anti-reverse flipped on and you're good to go. No more loops or line twist. Works great for light line.
You lost me, Jeff. Do you have some reels set up that way?
Yeah Chris, some reels do that. I'm thinking of cutting off the bail wire anyway. Don't really need it for light line fishing.
I've got one of these and it's super nice, but sometimes when i turn the crank to shut the bail, the bail doesn't shut.
I got one of those reels, and love it!!!! It is smooth as silk, and casts like a dream. I am using 4lb. Trilene XL on mine, but I am sure it will do well with 2 lb. line. I had a Okuma before getting this one, but took it back because my line kept getting under the spool, and I got frustrated with it. Other than that it was a smooth reel. I took it back, and put some extra money with it and got my Pflueger.
I can't say that I spend a lot of money on my reals. I really like the BP brands for my bass fishing, but those are baitcasters. The only spinning rods are for UL action and I can't see spending tons of money on stuff that's catching 2lb fish.
That being said, I bet if I used a really expensive reel I could change my mind.
i went to bass pro yesterday; got a quantum size 10; with a auto. type pick up. im taking it back soon as i can. soon as i took it out of the package assembled it; i didnt like it. going to look at one of those you got jeff. my old reel was a daiwia 1000 c. had it over 30 years;; it finnally died last year
Hard to beat a Pflueger....my pick every time!
Nice Chris! You can spend way more on other good ultralight reels, but it's almost a waste of good money...
I just went and bought a my second 6920 about a week ago. I only take two rods with me usually when I'm going for gills. Now both of those rods will have a president on them.
I have 4lb Nanofil on both of mine.
