Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Tied this on #10 Mustad bait hook - a light wire Aberdeen I got from Tooty.
I did a little bending of the hook to get a slightly wider gape and just a hint of a hump.
Body: Acrylic strand, stripped from 3-strand, #4 (medium) knitting yarn.
Color: Fluorescent Yellow
Hackle: Lower fibers from rooster neck hackle (the upper half of the feather had been used on my Micro Bigger).
Head: Thread, cemented to form bead.
The acrylic strand comes out like a "fuzzy" floss, with a nice iridescence. Some picking with a bodkin and it looks like I've dubbed a classic "haze" of fur, like on old country Yorkshire spiders. Next time, I'll use black thread for a head, to add a insect-like contrast.

No doubt about it, Tooty. I'm starting to learn some technique, which materials do what, and generally getting more comfortable at the vise.
