Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Knocking on the door of another Master Angler SMB... scratching the bottom and up the broken concrete with a Tabbert Jelly Jig... Dick's Jig almost made the books!

i take that back john ... i do tip ... vertical jigging my ice jigs i usually tip with a gulp waxie... but i never cast a jig for gills or tip for that matter when casting... even casting for crappie. i very rarely slip float a jig. i also tip during the winter... usually with GULP.

No tipping , even for Gills? I usually have to tip for Gills but if I can save on bait and not tip I do it . The tipping far out weighs the no tip catches usually but Crappie seem to be the ones that don't require it at all over my usual catches of White Perch and Yellow Perch and Gills and a few Pseeds.

thanks John! ... i never tip jigs.... i twitch and add action with the rod tip... the jig has got some nice flash to it on its own. then i lost my last green Jelly Jig on a pike or a walleye
