thanks guys!... right place at the right time... i love this stretch of the lake for fall smallies... definitely my best number of fish as well as a couple high tier SMBs.
i started fishing this spot with the 3" Ripple Shad thoroughly without a hit then i finally got a pull on the tail and then quickly downsized to the Jelly Jig that was already rigged on my UL. a couple casts later she hit as i was twitching it up the broken concrete
i would of completely missed this fish and pattern if I just left and didn't try the smaller jigs. The smallies this day rejected the larger offering and wanted smaller
