i think i can see a water line on those hills.puts it in perspective.we have our droughts but have had record rainfall.more like viet nam than illinois.lots more frogs and bugs than usual.hope  the fish recruitment did as well.expecting another severe winter.may have to get back into ice fishing.

At times LP can be clear Ken - this time of year we have ~ 4'. Water dropping is killing off the shore vegetation that is holding a LOT of juvenile fish.

They say 4' for the last month Jim - from full pool it's about 35'+. Starting to concentrate the fish.

Jim C - those trees will be under 30 - 25 FOW when they fill it back up - maybe 2016

Suppose to really increase the size David when they finish. Taking dirt from the back side to re-enforce the dam. Think it's suppose to be ~10 million cubic feet....

Crazy...how far down is the water level, Sonny?

Comment by Slip Sinker on October 14, 2014 at 2:31pm

so i take it... crystal clear water and no submergent vegetation?

Water way down. When I was in the bass club we put in some tire reefs at one of our local lakes. We assembled them on the ice and as the ice melted well the rest is history.
