Was the water that much of the pea soup (less than 3ft of depth visibility)? Not enough water to balance the heavy activities in that water. Haven't situated away at the new place yet to visit the lake for observation. They closed down the Bernasconi side as well, so, cycling in on the back side is a bust.

WHOA JEFF !!!!!!  NOT ONLY IS THAT A HUGE BLUE GILL;; BUT LOOK AT HOW CLEAR THAT WATER IS !! IM TOTALY JEALOUYS NOW !!!  MY HOME ATER IS EXTREMLY;; TEA STAINED;; CAN ONLY SEE;; MAYBE ABOUT A FOOT DEEP !             MY HEARTIOUS CONGRATS ON A GREAT CATCH !!

Leo.. They are super fun now.  They don't make that initial drag pulling run that Redears do, but for their size, they are one of the best fighting gamefish available.

They may be small, but they fight as hard as their relatives underwater. We need to inject a few silver carp traits into them to make them super fun.

These giant Bluegill are so much fun to catch.  It's just too bad that they don't jump like their relatives the bass do!
