I fish a lot for bass and found out that half of the time I catch a big bass off of a smaller bait. This is because bass would rather eat something that is more likely not to harm them, then something of a larger pry. You can realy tell when your small mouth bass fishing with small crayfish vs larger.

Thanks guys!.....I must admit the water "boiled" when that largie inhaled that popper.....surprised me to say the least...usually bass of that size aren't that interested in such small pickings as a popper.....usually something quite substantial as a frog, etc...peeks their interest.....Sure was fun though!....but still rather tie into those big bluegills...Lol!
