Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

The oldest natural lake in Virginia is a great Crappie and Flier destination.....Almost 4,000 acres of water that's six feet at the deepest.

Look forward to this scene in the Spring.........a lot of this water has skim ice right now.......and the dingy colors of winter....

Just think this is what you see while you're fishing this lake......and in the wilderness of the Dismal Swamp......lots of nesting Bald Eagles and countless Black Bears as well.....but my favorite is the volume of nice Fliers...These ancient cypress are from hundreds of years ago.....many are 10 to 12 feet wide at the water line.......an amazing sight!

What an incredible photo! I just can't tell whether you're a finer fisherman or photographer, but you rock at both. The love of what you photograph shines through your work.

Probably one of the top Flier destinations in the country.....these waters are so acidic that most Sunfish species are not present here but Fliers in great numbers are available.....The Panfish limit in Virginia is 50 and you can fill that with all Fliers in this lake......Very Nice Black Crappie in here as well.....

The only thing that would make it better is to show all the fish beneath the surface!
