Do you love big bluegill?
Rascal + Hula Popper
Used Carl's Rascal as a dropper on my small hula popper to catch several big bluegill.

Yea David, spinning gear. Got lots of swings and misses on the hula popper so I added the rascal about 12 inches below. Caught several bluegill and still caught bass on the top water. Double barreled action.

Why didn't I think to try this? I've used the concept on my fly rods a lot. Plus, it's a common tactic to use a topwater lure with a jig and grub below it for White Bass here.
