Thanks Jim.....looking forward to another great season on the Albemarle.....rested some really productive water in 2021 that should pay big dividends this year......getting excited........Jeff

Thanks Mikey-D.....I most often fish 1/32 ounce jigs unless fishing very cold conditionsI will down size to 1/64th.......these gills took a 1/32nd ounce jig and plastic tipped with a live rosie red minnow so it discounts the theory of being to large for gills in my mind......I have 30 poles rigged up right now and they all have a 1/32 ounce jig with soft plastic varieties and feathers.....I have a discussion "Jig Fishing Under a Float" you should check out when you have a few minutes......

Jeff I remembered you said a lot of you success crappie and gill fishing is with a jig under a float what size jig and plastic bait do you use?
