Haven't had much luck with the paratubes or the spoons.  Course I've been stopping at a different spot to fish now.  I was fishing a fairly calm reservoir, but i've been trying my luck in a 50 or 60 foot wide section of river.  Lots of good cover and I caught one eating sized gill, but only on earthworms.

Yeah, I forgot! The paracord idea was a good'un!

Good point Leo!

Nice usages! Perfect to prevent soft plastics from entering the environment.

I love the paracord idea. It gives me an idea as well.

Northlan bait co makes a small spoon called a forage minnow with a hologram of a minnow on it. They are very bright and sparkle a lot! I tip them with waxies, or a piece of redworm. They just kill'em! I believe the fish see them and try to steal the worm/waxy  from the small fish that seems to struggle to choke it down, because I have caught bluegills under 2" long doing this as well as 1/2 lb punkinseeds! Be warned though, I also caught large and smallmouth bass, pike, big crappies, etc doing this and lose them to bigger fish regularly. I believe( even though I haven't tried it) that small plastics that look like grubs would work as good.

Im with Mr Sheehan and Ronnie - wickedly creative.

I have vertical jigged Kastmasters in the summer when the good gills have gone in search of cooler waters, and done well when tipping them with a wax worm or a red wiggler.

That's a good idea. Let us know how it works out for you.

The hook looks like it doesnt fit well on the ring and would be easy for the fish to throw .Brilliantly practical  idea though .Nice going
