Hi Dick yes plenty of cold, 5deg wind chill -10 or so it don't make 30 during the day , lots of snow then rain then snow then rain and snow more snow on the way lakes and ponds flooded with the snow /rain hard to tell what's out there. Sandy and I checked out some ponds to see if anyone was on them, one we checked out a shack was on the pond ,open water 5 ft away from the guy's traps and he was out maby 50 ft from the shore and he was the only one out there. the other pond that I went through last year,  no one has been on there yet. I bet a lot of snow ice so far, don't get me wrong some people have been out in some other places, my nephew went on a creek with his snowmobile, he said the back end was sinking down it scared him had to go fast or go through, and a hard time to get off the ice ,the creek might be 10- 15 feet deep in some places, great to hear from you Mark.

I've been asking around about the same thing incorporating glow in the dark material into flies. But the more I think about it I get confused. Most of fly fishing is sight fishing for a fish so I guess for flies its really not an issue but for ice flies where you may have to fish deep dark water I can see where this could possibly help. I'm thinking the same thing for jigs again especially fishing deep. I do have some glow powder paints I'm wanting to try and some UV powders. I see they sell glow in the dark bands different sizes, synthetic material glow in the dark dubbing so loads of material are available so I'll be targeting on that stuff soon have to place an order or two.
