thanks so much mr tabbert. with the large population of 1.5-2 pound bass in this heavily pressured lake (suburban Chicago), fishing big fire tiger crank baits  seem to separate me from the crowd, in addition to giving me some dandy pike to pass the time. I'm going to try for some pre-spawn smallies this sunday at this lake.
