There's a creek near by, and i think this is the area where it spills over and floods, but it's always filled regardless of the creek being flooded. If the creek actually does fill this in, it should have fish in it, because it's the same creek i've caught stuff in but further down the creek.  The water was about 3.5-4 feet  deep under the thing we were standing on.  Apparently there are gators in here too.

The water appears to be very shallow. Did you metered the depths? From the protrusion of FA and weeds on both side, I would say the average depth is 3ft? Way too shallow for fish to spawn in due to predation opportunities.

Doesnt look like theres enough water to do much good. It could be a "minnow farm," though - get you a trap and there's your bait!
