Thanks Jim means a lot coming from a pro like you. I did a crawdad jig turned out pretty good a little more work envolved the pictures on here somewhere. Tied with Orange and then brown chenille a little different.
Really nice work, Dick! You are indeed a talented and custom jig tyer!
2015 Pink & white pearl.
Thanks Tinknocker1. I changed them up just a little. I was tying the gills on the backside of my windings and they didn't flare out so now I tie them in front of the windings and the flare straight out I think that looks better of coarse I can't tell if the fish can see the difference. I seen an example on the chartreuse jigs top view somehow I have an old one in that picture you can see the older one the gill lays straight back and doesn't flare out.
they look awesome !
Have fun with them Allen. The longest part of the whole process is painting the head and setting the eyes. We have 2 coats of powder paint white always my base and 3 coats of Sally Hansen hard as nails to paint over the eyes to hold them on they do have sticky backs on them but after 1 cast they will probably come off so we lock them in with the Sally Hansen's.
I may have to try something like this. I've got so many colors of chenille it isn't even funny!
Thanks John. Don't know if you seen all the color line ups. I even played around with a crawdad color since I had a few orange heads laying around made up. I kinda like them but they were a little more work if you get a chance check them out let me know what you think.
Great looking jigs Dick!
Thanks Allen. Here I thought I had everything covered but leave it up to me to forget something as usual. The jigs are 1/32oz with a bronze #6 hook.
