Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Here are a few variations on the sinking spider (cap spider) This fly is a heavy hitter when you want to fish a wet fly for gills. It is a very good "cold water
" fly also. Be sure to tie a few of these // (Don't leave home without them) //..........Don in SC

THANK YOU SCRUFFY AND BEEN WORKING ON THE NEW BUG FOR ANDY OF ALL PEOPLE AND WILL REVEAL IT REAL SOON IF I DON'T FORGET THE BASIS FOR IT !!! CONTAINS MARABOU POSSIBLY OR YARN FOR TAIL AND THEN A DIFFERENT BODY AND HACKLE AND NEW TECHNIQUE FOR ME COMBINING ALL THE MATERIALS , DURABILITY IS THE NUMBER ONE ISSUE USING HACKLE ANYTIME , BUT THINK I GOT IT WORKED OUT NOW .....

One thing you taught me, Tooty, is there is an almost infinite way to combine common materials and techniques.

Thats what I see here. Don called them variations on the Cap Spider, but a rose by any other name.....

These are awesome. I like the simplicity over the Bully Spider and Humbugs.

NEVER LOOKED AT EM LIKE THAT DAVID ..... THE ONE AT THE TOP LEFT AND LOWER RIGHT ARE SIMILAR TO MY REGULAR BEAD HEADS , EXCEPT LIKE ME MINE ARE MUCH FATTER !!!!! I REALLY LIKE THESE A LOT DONALD AND THE LEG PLACEMENT AT THE FRONT , ON MOST ANYWAY, IS DIFFERENT AND DIFFERENT IS LOTS OF TIMES GOOD.....

Great assortment. Looks like this is a foam pad that was used on the ducky floating fly?

Wow I don't have any sinking spiders  but a couple of these look like the bluegill bombers I just made and I know they sink.
