That is a fine catch and it's great to see you got to try out the new rod.
Leo you are correct there is much talent here and the sharing and providing information is phenomenal. Where else can we go to get this in depth information the people on this site are GREAT.
mark i'll take 9s all day.have to tie up some gurglers forgot about them.a really unique action they have.a lot of people assume you just let a fly sink or just sit on the surface.there is a lot of design and engineering in some cases put into a fly's design.even if they don't look like a bug they have to act like one to be a success especially in warm water where they have a lot more time to look it over.
Wow Mark 84 fish ain't shabby at all maybe I need to come to your neck of the woods.
LOL. Dick, it's always expansion of territory in knowledge learn. Never give up what you've been doing as a rooted practice. Just expand on your horizon of new skills. Think of everyone here. They have their base skills, and they have expanded skills. They blow me out of the water with their unique skills I would love to have.
Leo it is just an expansion of my knowledge it's all fun but I could never give up my roots into spinning or my level winds.
Jim, flies were: dragon fly, tied in grey (extended body), greasy monkey, Cajun tickler, and a couple on a small red gurgler I think like my third fish swallowed the gurgler. In all caught 84 bream last night. This one is 9 1/2 inches just can't seem to break that 10 inch mark this year.
Looks like more and more reeler turned fly rodder
what kind of fly mark?
Oh man nice fish with the new fly rod, good job
