Thanks John. I know pike are good to eat just them darn Y bones. There is a way to fillet one but I don't know it.

Yes Dick the Y bones ,which go back to the area below the dorsal, I pulled out with a curved needle nose pliers .Took some time and there's probably a better way but the pieces were fine  .The back and posterior sides are boneless and are good fillets!

Looks like I'm to late for dinner hate when that happens. John do the pickerel have a Y bone in them like the northern pike do.
