Last night at lake Mendota I tried the autos from Carl Hendrix. FIRST CAST WITH THE OLIVE ONE ON BOTTOM LEFT THE BOBBER TOOK OFF LIKE A SHOT . I was fishing 4 feet deep and never saw the fish but it hit just like the nice cat I had caught the night before. Had the fish on for a few seconds and it got off and never saw it at all. Same thing with the silver one on top left . Two great strikes but never go either fish or another bite on those. WIll try em again though.........
They look great, Dick!
Yea I guess your right. As you know I don't get out much not like I thought it would be but sometimes we have to work with the cards were dealt. I really don't have a lot of flies around for some reason they keep disappearing but hopefully to a place they can get some use.
Beautiful job Dick. You tied so much, I still don't see the mouths that bite them.
Great job Carl. I tied up a dozen yesterday and some crickets today.Cricket I tied today complement of Bob Garner. I used some of his squirrel tail he sent me this last winter, had a hard time with the buck tail it flairs all over the place the squirrel tail lay's right down.
Tied up a dozen of LedHed Auto's. I'm addicted to them they worked so well on vacation. Didn't have any sickle hooks so I only made a dozen, my other jigs with the sickle hooks I ordered should be here shortly. One of the orange one's I made I used a musky skirt a little stiff but I think they will eat it up anyway.
THESE MADE BY MEMBER CARL HENDRIX are going back to lake Mendota tonight if it doesn't rain and give em a whirl !!!!!!!!!!!
WTG Carl - great lookin tyes. You might want to try the Matzuo sickle hooks - very sharp.
