The ones with rubber legs are a VERY LIGHT WIRE #10 long shank. All the others are #12 dry fly hooks.

That is sick David! Woooahhh! What hook sizes are you using on those gill killers? It maybe the sizes I need to focus on trout as well.

Hey Bill, mine actually aren't weighted. THe bead on the head is hollow and even with these mine float till they are good and wet. I wanted em to sink and once wet they sink really slowly and I think the sink rate is what kills the gills !!!!!! It looks really natural that way.

David,
These are really a lot like mine...nice. I didn't weight mine, hoping they will float if i put some dpoe on them. These will work for sure! I like the purple and orange combo too...going to try that myself.

Walt I never had tried long legs in all my years of making the beadheads. Never gave it much thought. I'll have to give it a whirl this year maybe.

I had an uncle who many years ago used to tie his own bluegill bugs, even taught me how (as well as how to pour plastic worms).  He swore by the rubber legs - tied foam spiders both floating and sinking, and always used long rubber legs on them.  And he caught bluegill like crazy on them.

YES I DO if I don't mind saying so my self. The first one I sub invented was in the upper right hand corner, PURPLE BEAD HEAD. All in various colors of course , but the purple is the first I use on new water , or old water for that matter.
LOwer left corner is what I call a micro and that is all my invention, at least as far as I know. Never seen anything similar in stores. The process for tying the micros is a bit unique and they are all  very durable. A hundred gills a day on one is the norm. I use ALOT OF HALF HITCH KNOTS!!!!!! Typically 8 for a regular bead and 3-4 knots for a micro.
AAAAAAAAAAAALL MY PICS were fish caught on my bugs only, not bragging just don't like to use waxys.
