High tech Space age fishing .These are wild! A long time ago I recall reading about something like this in the ad section  of a magazine .Not sure its exactly this invention.This is bizarre!

thanks john ,now i am going crazy to find more info on these.it is quite a contraption,looks like a 1950s space toy.has a patent number on the metal arm but cant find a date or any info without paying.this is quite a contraption and i still don't really understand it's purpose other than securing your bait on the hook while casting.maybe back in the old level wind days so the bait stays on.basically you put your baited hook inside the capsule and the white bobber which is attached to a metal arm that holds trap door closed.when this rig hits the water it fills up with water and the bobber pops up and opens the trap door releasing your bait and leader.it is ridiculous and very cool at the same time.i saw this and bought on the spot.
