Dick that's very generous of you..... I wasn't trying to get you to make some jigs for me, I saw your photo and I could see what I was talking about last night in your Jig, and was hoping to use it to illustrate what I was envisioning.

I want a test mule.....a jig with only a body...no tail or legs. Something that's quick and easy to make, and who's sole fish attracting attribute is a colored body. And I agree with you in thinking an untipped jig has to do all the work...to me, that's the real test of a jig's effectiveness.

It's up to you Dick....if you want to make some, I will gladly buy the supplies and reimburse you for your time.....but please don't feel obligated, as I'm sure I can put something together in a plastic. It won't be as durable that way, but it should provide proof of concept, IF, IF it even exists.

I like the classic contrast, red/white.

Tony these are 1/32 oz I think I can go down to 1/100 of an oz but will have to get some smaller chenille. The rubber tail on the rear is stiff a smaller diameter will give it some movement.

Tony what are you after. Most people try to make jigs that catch fish which is why all the bells and whistles. You can make a plain Jane and if you tell me exactly what your after I'll make you a few to try out but personally I do like catching fish and I don't tip with live bait so the jig has to do all the work. So granit if you have a plain Jane and tip it with live bait you have a different animal all together you might as well fish a bare hook with a sinker. Tell me what you want and I'll make an attempt at making you a few I'm home most of the time anyway as you know .

Per the conversation on Jeffrey's post las night, Dick, may I take liberties with your creation?

My idea is this jig, without the red tail, and in some different colored bodies. That's what I'm envisioning.

Thanks Dick......appreciate the latitude, and I admire your work.
