Didn’t Want to Get Too Close To This Active Hornet’s Nest….7/9/2023

I was fishing along this morning when I glanced up and thankfully noticed this active hornet’s nest, this one was much lower than I have seen in the past….I decided to give them some space….

Yeah Bruce….I could hear the hornets from where I snapped the picture…so I was good….

I agree wag….in southeast Louisiana growing up we would encounter the huge nests of red wasp in the cypress trees on the shoreline…..my grandpa always like to throw his popping bug in the vicinity….caught a lot of big goggle-eye perch as we say in Louisiana…..Warmouth everywhere else…

   Water under hornet / wasp /bee nest usually some of the best fishing water.  But like you said best to give em some space.
