They're drag setting adjusters..you use them to test your drag settings out before you get hammered by the big-uns.

We have been running into them lately here as well. Drag...they just get in the way of good bluegill fishing.
Anybody know what these are?

I catch them things all the time while fishing for 'gills or Crappie, them big mouth green fish.
