I would have used spikes but it's hard to find a baitshop near Chicago that holds em. I tried them for a while but it seems the larger fish have pretty much quit hitting redworms up here.

The canal was still choked with weeds but a few deep docks held gills willing to hit a green and black 1/80th oz ice jig with a waxworm
