Do you love big bluegill?
I learned a long time ago that if you wait for 4" of ice where I live, you may not fish at all.....
As long as there's no snow on the ice, a flat bottom Jonboat will glide effortlessly across the surface!
I fished on 1.5" today.

Brilliant determination Tony ! You won't be denied your fishing!
yes it did, mine is a St.Croix Legend ice LIR24L with a Sedona 500 FD thanks for the reply.
Not a St Croix, matter of fact, I'm not sure what it is. The spring bobber may be throwing you off. I modeled it after St Croix's design, but I make them myself.
Hi Tony is that ice rod a St croix
Thank you tony for the idea.
Well, a jonboat beats the piece of plywood I was thinking of.
Hooe you had insulated seats
Pretty neat setup Tony.
21 degrees.....that aluminum boat was cold. Every time I reeled up and laid my rod down, the jig froze to the boat......
