Tim...check out the other, single photos I posted...one of the days best hybrid and the other of a 10-inch pure pumpkinseed...a better comparison, I think.

Nice catch.  Tough to tell them apart sometimes, but what gives it away for me most of the time is the vertical barring pattern emerging above the anal fin.

It's a very good comparison in this photo.
