I went alone because we ate early and when the Daytona 500 was rain delayed I went for a couple hours. Then some neighborhood kids flagged me down when I passed our Subdivision Lakes so I decided to mess around with the Musky method and snagged a couple of our growing Speckles so that was cool.....Of course my little friends all want a Musky spoon rig now!!!!!Go figure......

Sounds about like the creek I was in yesterday - low to mid 50's. And where I lost my danged thermometer!

But I've found another one that Im gonna try. Nice that you caught a fish on that little crankbait. I just took the dog with me yesterday.

I took several surface readings David in about a hundred yard area on the creek I caught these Gills on today......I saw as low as 52 degrees and as high as 55 degrees. The gills today were caught in six to eight FOW while fishing this tiny bait very slow....and this one will sink about a foot every 10 seconds so I was being hit on the fall today...The fish were a little scattered so I'm comfortable the water in general was close to the same temperature...

Tiny little thing, aint it! Neat that a 'gill is hitting already. any idea of water temp in the precise location?
