If you ever get down to this area, the Santee Cooper lakes are an awesome fishery and the wildlife viewing is abundant. This area is filled with "down to earth" people and sports true southern hospitality! I fished it hard for thirteen years and wished the technology we have today was available then to share. I only started taking as many pictures when the digital camera age began. I still try to get down there a couple times a year and cherish every moment! This is the location of my biggest Bluegill and Shellcracker, both over two pounds in the late 80s.
