Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Went out for a couple hours during the Daytona 500 rain delay and caught eleven Gills with this 9 inch gill the best.....Water temperatures up to 54 degrees and these gills hit a Sexy Shad Mini Crank.......

I measured the water temp at the local creek yesterday - 54 degrees. This is moving water, so its a tad lower than area ponds.

I also lost my danged thermometer in some sort of brush tangle! But it worked - -

Thanks Tony....the other ten were mainly 6-8 inches so I was pumped up to see Bluegills especially as bad as our weather was on Friday and Saturday........Released all fish today just happy to find a few!

Great to see some gills today.......If you're familiar with the Strike King Bitsy Minnow...I fished it painfully slow, almost "jerk and stop" method in 6 to 8 feet of water. Fished from the bank on a Little River creek.......Water up to 54 degrees....getting excited!
