Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

The bream was eaten by the bass. I ate the bass. The circle of life.

They usually don't mess around with it either. They're all business. It must be competition that makes them risk their lives for a meal.

About a four inch largemouth attacked my 1/32 ounce jig Sunday...truly predators...

You never know how big they're gonna be. Today, I caught a bass that couldn't have been an inch longer than the crankbait. Also, when I had a small bass in my fish tank, the little guy ate a minnow that was about the same size he was and it killed him. I reckon if they're hungry they'll take a swing at anything.

I had one swipe 3 times at a small gill I was reeling in this past weekend. I wish I could have hooked it.

I like to eat bream, but I like to catch them more so I release them back in to the ponds and eat the bass.

Well, there was that mole-eating sunfish that was documented on BBG a while back, so it could happen :-)

LOL I don't know. I think it's just a line/segment of life. The circle has to return back to the bream.
