Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Bought a new spinning rod/reel for bluegill. I gave up spinning for the fly rod several years ago, but decided to give it a try this year.
Fenwick Eagle rod (5'6" UL) & Pflueger President reel (size 25). Spooled it with 4# mono until I can get some fireline for it.
Had to test it at the local lake today, but only small bluegill this trip.

I have a couple President reels and they are great reels for the price.

Nice setup. I've got a President in that size as well.  Great reel for the price.

carl - it already has it's place in my "tool box" (when I retired I converted the toolbox in my truck bed to a huge tackle box!)

Keith - Berkley fireline is a "superline", but not a regular braid. It's "thermally fused" to make it smooth, but it doesn't have a memory like mono. I'm going to use 8# fireline which is the diameter of 3# mono.
