Dick there was more of a breeze going on last night at this spot when I was catching .This is how it looked when I was leaving .Peaceful again after my interference.

Thanks Ken ,yes the Perch are active and I'm taking advantage . The Gills are just beyond my reach I guess. Been catching just a few White Perch ,Gills ,Bass and a decent amount of real good 12-13" Crappie . Love my mixed bags more than anything .

John... you have a nice resource there those perch look awesome.

Looking back on my fishing career some of my greatest memories were from catching quantities of fish also. If they were or all small fish I break out the microlight or the 3wt fly rod the pleasure to me is the same or very similar as landing a big ole bass. Admittedly I was out there the other day as many other days begging for a 5" bluegill ... anything... just a tug on my line. If I land that small gill I go for more... to me that what makes fishing fishing.

I envy you right now you got timing and a great pattern going on and some great results!

Ken ,of course you catch Perch ! Duh !,you got a great one I forgot about temporarily . Right now I'm concentrating on Perch because they are ready and willing .That's generally the type of fishing I do .I don't usually target big fish ,I just try to fish a lot and increase my chances of catching one by fishing a lot . If I think they are ready and willing I'll target them . I've only caught three Walleyes in my life(all on Shad Raps)  but need to learn their habits better . I am into numbers more than lunkers  but release way more than I keep to eat . I've only eaten my catch 4 times  this year .The local lakes that are good sources for Walleye are Monksville reservoir and Greenwood lake .

John I actually believe this resevoir I fish has an overabundance of large predators that target the eater sized perch that there are very few good sized perch to keep for a dinner... a ton of small fish and an occosional jumbo... I've caught quite a few of them between 12 and 14.5" but no consistent fishing for eaters. just an overabundance of pike and muskie.
There are alot of good sized walleye and ive seen quite a few locals bring in coolers full trolling with crawlers and spinners... not really the fishing I like to do. I catc I them occasionally fishing forsmallmouths. My bass, pan fish (bgills crappie p'seeds and rock bass) and carp once in awhile are keeping me busy for now.
Looks like you got a good source of perch do you have a consistent walleye bite locally?

I was disappointed that no Crappie showed up as the sun got low but Yellow Perch saved the day as they've done so many times before for me .

Yesterday at this same spot it was foggy ,overcast and dead still and the fishing wasn't good, but a little breeze today and the Yellow Perch cooperated .
