Nice Fish Leo!
Jeff, you might want to take your wader with you if you plan to float tube. The boat house is closing down next Sunday. If you have some free time, get there as soon as possible. Fish near the marina and the beach. Hot items are red trout worms, Berkeley scented, red/orange powerbait, nightcrawler, or flies that looks like red worms. Surface strikes happened throughout the morning until 0740hrs. Then they hunt deep.
Rig it using Carolina rig, with a leader of 1'. I used the bubble to provide a strike indicator.
Jeffrey: Gregory. Sorry, There's another on the same line. They fought pretty hard once I pull them them. Both thumbs and index fingers were completely shredded trying to lip these crazy boys.
LedHead: They were from Gregory, but these one happened to be a holdover from 3 months ago. The shoreliners where catching the Thursday, recent stocked. I had to keep this one because it deep gutted one of my flies, along with another one on the same line. 4 float tubers, and 3 boaters caught and release quite a massive amount of these guys. I was expecting rainbows. I caught a crappie, and one of the brownie came up, grabbed hold of it as the crappie was at my float.
Sure hope they aren't from Lake Gregory. It was stocked with Brown Trout to control the Crappie population.
Both pics are same Brown. Which one is 22"? What lake is that?
