Thanks LEO!!!! Around here warmouth aka Rocky, are called the same!!!! RIGHT or WRONG in the GRAND SCHEME of things it matters little!!!!!!

BUT BIGBLUEGILL. COM ROCKS!!!!!!! I am PROUD TO WEAR THE LOGO!!!!! Just should have had on my BIGBLUEGILL CAP!!!!!!

Very nice catch! Love the overall display of BBG. Now, just tilt that fish a tad bit and you got the full expression of the fish and shirt.

Actually, it does look like it has only 3 spines. Maybe I was fooled again!

Differentiating between Rockbass and Warmouth is easy once you know the trick..... Check out the anal fin, (that's the one closest to the tail, on the underneath!) Rockies will have six sharp, rigid, pointy spines, or rays, while a Warmouth will only have three. Color and markings can fool us, but this method  is pretty reliable.

Never caught one on a fly. Did you catch this one on a fly? I think I would have better on a sinking line set up. Nice fish though one of my favorites

That's not a Warmouth...it's a Rocky aka Rock Bass, Greg! It's a nice one, too.
