Do you love big bluegill?

A little fiddly to construct, but it shows promise.

Excellent. Will give this try. But will always have other knots handy just in case this snapped in thr field.

John, here's the looped version.
I broke off on a branch today, so I had to replace leader. For the record,
the leader itself broke - and not my knot-less connection.
I've probably made this loop too big, but it serves to illustrate.

No worries, John.
Most guys that will do this will be "tippet changers," as it is essentially
a permanent installation. Some won't like that, others won't mind.
An alternative is to form a double surgeons loop
in the butt end of the leader and pull that up tight to the line in the
same manner described in the link.
This way you have a loop connection at the terminal end of the line,
which allows you to change leaders at will. Tie another double surgeons loop
on the LEADERS' butt end, and use the standard interlocked loop to join leader to line.
