Love Crab Cakes! My wife Linda makes them great! Lumb Crab, egg,Celery ,Old Bay Seasoning ,Thyme and rolled in Panko.1/2Cup Panko per Lb. of Crab meat.Fry em up. Delicious! So much better than commercial 'Bread Cakes' that taste more like Turkey stuffing!

Jeffrey, My problem was I could never stop at 3 or 4 CRAB CAKES!!!!!! I guess I am kind of like the white perch and eggs, I DON"T STOP TILL IT IS ALL GONE!!!!! EASTERN SHORE VIRGINIA STYLE CRAB CAKES!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!

Better becareful with the BAIT YOU USE THOUGH!!!!!!!! THAT IS DANGEROUS!!!!

I have an old fishin buddy up in Savannah Georgia that I visit every year. They always throw a Low Country Boil while I'm there. Crab, sausage, shrimp, potatos, corn and some seasonings. Good fishing good food and good friends looking forward to my next trip up there!

I have family here in South Carolina that love Blue Crabs so they don't mind me coming over with a cooler full to cook up....they are chilled until tonight!

If you've ever had one or heard of a Crab Cake Tony....a crab the size pictured here would give you a hamburger sized cake ...Three to four cakes makes a pretty good meal!

Okay Jeffrey, thanks. I was wondering if the legs/claws were the only edible parts....

Comment by Jeffrey D. Abney on August 1, 2012 at 6:42pm

The shell pulls off after boiling Tony to expose the body which is full of meat in sections....The claws also hold meat that is traditionally eaten as well....Good rule of thumb for eating steamed or boiled crabs is 8 to 12 per person......Melt butter and stack the crab meat on fresh saltine crackers and it's a hit...Like cleaning Bluegill though, many folks aren't patient enough to pick blue crabs....
