Stocking programs over the last decade in South Carolina have increased numbers of this highly desired Sunfish.....Efforts are in place to ensure quality fish like this specimen.....a beautiful RBS

Thanks Michael....definitely one of the coolest looking sunfish out there.....I think the neatest part is the adaptation to a local body of water for unique color markings....

Absolutely gorgeous beautiful redbreast!!!! Much prettier and bigger than ones I catch!! I find river fishing for redbreasts is lots of fun on light and ultra light setups. They are very aggressive compared to bluegills.

It's almost like a can of spray paint was taken to this fish....very vibrant through the face and chest.....

Thanks Vince....this is another species I want to get up to Tim Overbaugh......and when you catch them in the deep and dark pockets along this river, they get really dark on top and the red becaomes even more vibrant..........

1/16 ounce with a little weight for accurate long casts......Many sand bars where the water is clear.....don't want to get too close and spook catchable fish.....
