Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

One of many 'road embankment' bluegill. This is not a whopper; it's more in the 8"-9" class. But you can catch these all day long in this spot.

And the best part is, it is right in plain view. Meanwhile, everybody goes ripping by in their high powered boats, looking for hot spots further on. The last time I was fishing there, a family pontoon boat came blasting by. loaded with a bunch of shrieking kids.

"Hey, daddy, go faster and make waves for that guy in the 'funny canoe.'" I just waved from my kayak.

Heck yeah... a sight that produces 8-9"gills all day long? that would make my "I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you", list........

If we catch 8" to 9" all day long, that's considered as a blessing for us.

Not bad at all, Jim. I would love to have a spot like that to fish.
