Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Got my new PB bluegill today with this male. He had some thick shoulders on him and he put up a good fight.

Thanks everyone, even though this fish didn't have the best body dynamics he still managed a good fight. Maybe he'll put on some weight and I can catch him again down the line. Was thrilled to get my new PB, as it was one of my goals I set at the beginning of the year.

Super fish! 10 inches is a terrific gill anywhere!

Are you sure he didn't catch you. Nice fish Adam!

It was a fun day for sure. All the fish were caught on grasshoppers or crickets fished weightless, so we could see the fish come up and nail it on the surface.

No worries.........I said to myself, man this fish looks like a solid ten or better! Awesome day for you guys!

Thanks Jeff, it was definitely a pure northern strain. When I was filling in the details for my hybrid I mistakenly clicked on apply to all. Just fixed it.
