Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

FILLED THE TOP OF THE OLD 48 quart cooler I've been using for 20+ years.
Nothing hitting the surface tonight . All caught on subsurface bugs .

HEY TIMBER, THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS and there is only one Sir on this site and that would be SIR JEFFREY ABNEY!!!!!!!! LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL . SIR JEFFREY takes the most beautiful Sunset and Sunrise shots I've ever had the pleasure of viewing! Don't get me wrong though there are alot of fabulous pics on this site and if you haven't seen Greg Mc Williams , Sir Jeffreys , and lots of other fellas here you are missing out.
I like to refer to these fellas as experts because I'm sure they've forgotten more than OLE TOOTY KNOWS!!!

THANKS VINCE AND THE HEAT HAS BEEN TERRIBLE HERE TOO!!!!!!! I went over to Kent's pond, one of my favorites, and it is down at least 3' maybe more!

Some good looking gills you got there. We had a tough morning yesterday with the heat and all. They were real picky.

Hey Dick , I don't have the system of fly fishing down to a science yet, but I"m working at it and the big ones I got today were all on the long rod and can't figure out why. THe other smaller fish were on my ultra light spinning rod and maybe it was because I was waiting longer for the bugs to sink with the fly line.

Thanks one and all for the great and comical comments ! It was good to get out again and beat the heat for a change. It was only about 83 degrees yesterday and not much humidity . Very little wind and just plain gorgeous day for a change .

We did't get to the pond till 6 pm and started catching fish right away , but it only lasted for an hour or so.

Tooty nice. You got the system down good. Hoping I'll be able to get that good with the fly rod one day.

I'll definitely let you know Tooty. Don't know about getting more "official rods for my collection". My supervisor will use them as torturing devices.
